Enhancement of metal surface micro-jet by nanoscale helium bubbles under supported and unsupported shocks

چکیده
By using molecular dynamics, we have investigated the effect of nanoscale helium (He) bubbles on formation micro-jets and various physical mechanisms under supported unsupported shock wave loading. Our simulations suggest that micro-jet is primarily influenced by local dynamics nano-He bubbles, as velocity in copper–helium (Cu–He) system slightly slower than pure Cu. The expansion He can accelerate jet head, but this disappears during released tensile stage. We categorize behavior into three types: Type A are forming region, their increases rupture jet. B located between micro-jets, compression rapid bursting free surface. C situated far from surface mainly affect propagation damage process. global effects bubble similar both However, evolution significantly different loading, with pressure-atom volume density attenuated to zero temperature reduced initial due strong effect. Overall, our study has revealed differences process dynamic compressed paths.

We report the chemical interactions of unsupported and alumina-supported Ag(7) and Ag(8) clusters protected with MSA (mercaptosuccinic acid) with heavy metal ions Hg(II), Cd(II), and Pb(II) in water at different concentrations. The investigation was carried out to determine the feasibility of this interesting new class of materials called quantum clusters for water purification. These systems w...
متن کاملPerformance enhancement of metal nanowire-based transparent electrodes by electrically driven nanoscale nucleation of metal oxides.
Solution-processed silver nanowire (AgNW) electrodes have been considered to be promising materials for next-generation flexible transparent conductive electrodes. Despite the fact that a single AgNW has extremely high conductivities, the high junction resistance between nanowires limits the performance of the AgNW matrix. Therefore, post-treatments are usually required to approach better NW-NW...
متن کاملSurface study of supported metal particles by 129Xe NMR.
The surfaces of platinum clusters in the supercages of NaY zeolite have been studied by ' Xe NMR over the temperature range 80—293 K. The sensitivity of this weakly perturbing technique makes it possible to reveal the heterogeneity of the electronic structure of the particle surface. The temperature dependence of the ' Xe spin-lattice relaxation indicates that the surface sites with the highest...

15 صفحه اولJet formation in bubbles bursting at a free surface
We study numerically bubbles bursting at a free surface and the subsequent jet formation. The Navier-Stokes equations with a free surface and surface tension are solved using a marker-chain approach. Differentiation and boundary conditions near the free surface are satisfied using leastsquares methods. Initial conditions involve a bubble connected to the outside atmosphere by a preexisting open...
